Strategic alliances established

The Studio sans limites programme concept, was presented to executives of well-known and  highly recognized organizations dedicated to the cause of autism. All confirmed the pressing need for services dedicated to adults with autism and offered their support:

  • Canadian National Autism Foundation (CNAF) has contributed financial help; – www.cnaf.net
  • Fédération québécoise de l’autisme (FQA) Quebec Federation of autism, (FQA) offers encouragement and directions; - www.autisme.qc.ca
  • Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders Montreal (ATEDM) in the person of its president Ms Carmen Lahaie who generously offers her advice. -  www.autisme-montreal.com
  • À l’emploi – Action main d’oeuvre Inc.,  an agency job placement for people with autism, funded by Emploi-Québec. It offers the possibility to work with SSL; - www.actionmaindoeuvre.com
  • CRDITED de Montreal - multiple centres for the readaptation of persons with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It offers the services of an educator on a full time basis; - www.internet.crditedmtl.ca

  • Autism Speaks - an international organization dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. It has contributed a significant grant enabling Studio sans limites the possibility to purchase workshop equipment and supplies; www.autismspeaks.ca
  • Confédération des organismes provinciaux de personnes handicapées du Québec (COPHAN) Its CEO Richard Lavigne has offered his support ASL and Studio sans limites its education program for adults with autism. cophan.org
  • Centre de santé et de service social du Sud-Ouest, Verdun (CSSS) provided its support in the form of a letter to OPHQ recommending the Studio sans limites programme. http://www.sov.qc.ca

  • Unity for Autism aims to support programs that enhance the development and well -being of people with autism living in Canada. The organization has allocated a grant which enabled SSL the purchase of equipment and supplies necessary for its programme opération. www.unityforautism.ca
  • L’office des personnes handicapées du Québec (OPHQ) - To provide assistance in perfectionnig the Studio sans limites programme l’OPHQ has offered a grant from its «Experimentation programme, community innovation» for the year 2014. www.ophq.gouv.qc.ca

To solidify alliances already established and evolve so that the programs offered by ASL progress and accessible to where adults with autism, it is imperative that meetings are ongoing with all organizations that can assist ASL and SSL the programme.
